Madeley Ranch Elementary (E-Track) Donation

Bennett asked me to send a BIG THANK YOU to Madeley Ranch Elementary in Montgomery County! ;) They gave him a "Superhero Pillowcase" that they each made with lots of love. :) Kikds giving back....the best thing in the world. :) We really appreciate it, and can't thank you all enough! Bennett kept telling me how "pretty" it was. ;) We will be sure to bring this on our next chemo visit! Love- Mrs. Nester

March 21, 2014

Gammy picked Mommy and Bennett up today at 11:30 for our apt at TCH Main...stopped off at Chick-fil-a for our chicken and fries fix and then headed on to our appt. As problems...handled it all with ease and charm...I love how all of the nurses just love him! ;) His counts have jumped back up to 1500; results of being diligent in keeping him quarantined the past he was ready to get the full dose of Vinblastine this week. Doctor Rednam is thrilled with his progress so far. Little man is to be fitted with his leg braces Monday....this should be a fun adventure...keep you all posted. -Mommy Nester

March 14, 2014

Today we started the 3rd dose of Bennett's new chemo (Vinblastine). His gammy arrived at 9am to pick us up and then we headed to TCH West Campus. Unfortunately his ANC counts dropped from 1300 to 940... So Bennett is stuck staying quarantined from everyone for a while. If his counts get below 1000, he cannot get chemo...luckily it just dropped, so Dr. Rednam let him receive it. But, we will be home-body's the next few weeks. He did great a chemo though, no tears as always. Until next week...- Mommy Nester

March 7, 2014

Today we began chemo dose 2 of the new chemo drug Vinblastine. It was just Bennett and Mommy today, we arrived at TCH West Campus around 9:30am. Before we got to the hospital, we made a short stop at Wellsfargo to set up the checking account for Bennett's Bears....which went smoothly, so now we are able to accept donations for the Non-Profit! Woohoo! Once at TCH they took his vitals, accessed his port, and then ran his bloodwork, his ANC's dropped from 1900 to 1300, so we will need to keep him secluded the next couple of months, he has NO rebound time in between treatments each week, and if he drops below1000, he cannot get chemo, prolonging his treatment. So, looks like we will be "homebodys" The next 5 months...After his chemo, we drove down to the medical center to meet with Dr. Bootin, his pediatrician for his 4 year check-up; 32 pounds, 41 inches! Skinny & Tall! ;) Our little man is getting SO big SO fast...

Bennett's 4th Birthday

We celebrated Bennett's 4th Birthday this weekend, due to his condition and immune system, his party this consisted of only close family.... ;) We initially wanted to have it at the zoo, but due to weather conditions, we opted to have it at Gammy's house since she so generously offered. Everyone had an amazing time...our cake was donated by; And it came out perfect! So thankful that she wanted to donate her time to our little mans Birthday.

Attending the Party: Bennett, Mommy, Daddy, Gammy, Grandpa, Maddie, Sam, Uncle David, Aunt Shelf, Papa Boots (Nana was sick, so Grandma stayed with her so Papa could come)

He made out like a bandit...lots of outside toys! ;) So thankful for another year with our precious boy!
